| Dare joined us
in 2005 from Flatterhaft Kennels in Sweden. It was a huge thing
for us to bring a dog over, and has certainly paid off, fast becoming
one of S.A.'s biggest winners ever, at only 2 1/2 years old. He
started with a bang winning a Baby In Group in his first weekend of
Championship shows, and went from strength to strength, winning many
Class In shows and Class In Groups, his record in SA is only bettered by
our 8-10 year old dogs. He won RU BEST IN GROUP at just 2 1/2
years old, and we expect many more wins like this in the future.
He is the best moving Flat Coat currently going around in SA at the
moment proving it week after week by dominating the show ring in 2007
beating 5 year old dogs on a regular basis, and also the only dog to
regularly beat and push our Gr Ch Skyehaven Mightnpower (SA's most
successful ever flat Coat). The great thing is he is not even
mature yet!! Dare always shows with 100% effort and
has a magnificent temperament and 0/0 hips and 0/0 elbows. He has
won more Class In Shows and Class In Groups than any other Flat Coat in
SA history!! And still so young!!
Dare's biggest wins were on 18/9/05, under Mr P Primrose (WA), were he won MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW, then on 1/10/05 Dare won MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW under Mr R Lott (SA). On 22/10/05 Dare won PUPPY IN GROUP, under Mrs Courtney-Reid (SA), and the next day PUPPY IN GROUP under Ms S Foster (SA). 5/11/05 Under Mrs A Bowie (NSW) he won MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW, then on 20/11/05, under Miss J Oliver (Vic) PUPPY IN GROUP. On the 3/12/05 Dare won best PUPPY IN GROUP under Mrs J Weston (ACT). In 2007, 18th March Dare won INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW under Mrs J Dickinson-Franks(NSW), and on the 3/1107 he won RU BEST IN GROUP AND BEST INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW, under Ms B Daines (NSW) and Mrs S Crozier (NSW). Dare has reached the 500 club at the fasted ever time in SA history at just 2 1/2 and now is pushing hard towards his grand champion after picking up 410 points in 2007. He of course is now a member of the Flat Coated Retriever Assoc of vic 500 club. In 2005 Dare won PUPPY OF THE YEAR for the Flat Coated Ret Assoc of Vic, and in 2007 top showing Flat Coat for the Gundog Club of SA. In 2007 Dare won the SHOW DOG OF THE YEAR award, and INTERSTATE SHOW DOG OF THE YEAR, for the Flat Coated Retriever Association of Victoria, a brilliant effort for a 2 year old dog!! In January 2008 Dare won RU BEST IN GROUP, under Mr F McEvoy (SA), and May 2008 another RU BEST IN GROUP under Ms G Alexander (Vic), and again in July 2008 under Mr W Crozier (NSW) he won another RU BEST IN GROUP!! October 5th 2008, Dare became the youngest Flat Coat in Australian history to become a GRAND CHAMPION!! November 29th 2008, Dare won his 5th RU BEST IN GROUP under Mr D Wilkinson (NZ), And on December 31st 2008 he won BEST IN GROUP, under Mrs S Crozier (NSW). December 31st 2008, Dare won his 1st BEST IN GROUP under Mrs S Crozier (NSW) she said he was the stand out in the group! February 1st 2009, Dare has his biggest win At the Adelaide Hills K C, Summer Classic, where under highly respected Gundog Specialist from the UK, Mr Frank Kane, he won BEST IN GROUP! February 28th 2009, Under Mrs R Willians (NSW) anther Gundog specialist, Dare again won BEST IN GROUP! Dare has also sired Skyehaven Flying Drunk (Bailey) (Co-owned with Kirstin Gurner) and he is proving his worth beating Dare on several occasions and is already over half way to his title at just 14 months old, he also won Puppy In Group. Also from Dare is Skyehaven Let It Rip (Rippa), she is special, I love this bitch, she is very slow to mature, but I expect really big things from her, she has several bitch challenges and Many reserves, and a class in group, we will be patient as she is well worth it. He also sired Ch Fetchtipup Man Of The Hour (Rebus) who is flying in the ring at the moment with a BEST IN GROUP and many Class In Groups, and is nearly 1/2 way to his Grand Champion at just 2 years old.
